About Me

I am a queer, disabled Appalachian multidisciplinary artist and writer living and working in South Louisville. My art and writing tend focus on ideas of class, gender, queerness, and place, and often engage with popular culture. I work in a variety of mediums including ceramic, fiber arts, and printmaking.

My writing varies from the personal and confessional to the fabulist.

Writing

I studied creative writing while pursuing a B.A. at Bellarmine University in English, and took a variety of creative writing workshops at the University of Louisville while pursuing graduate work in Women and Gender Studies and Interdisciplinary Humanities.

I am also an alum of the Appalachian Writer’s Workshop and Tin House. My work has received awards as well as a Pushcart Nomination, and has been supported by the Kentucky Foundation for Women.

Art

Though I have no formal fine arts education, I have pursued the study of ceramics with various instructors in community learning settings. Much of my other art is self-taught through exploration.

My art can frequently be found at various retail settings in Louisville. Updates are posted on Instagram.

I have led arts groups and lessons in a variety of settings throughout Louisville, and am available for ceramic and needle felting lessons, either for individuals or groups.
